Salem is a great town to live and raise kids in! Not exactly for the young partying type as there’s not much of a nightlife but it’s super close to surrounding areas with nightlife and easily accessible! Lots of shopping centers and the people are friendly. It’s starting to get a little expensive for a small town due to new and upcoming residential projects, but it’s worth it. The school district is amazing and very safe.

Very family friendly, Outgoing people. Great neighborhoods. Awesome schooling. Many shops, stores, schools, are all local. Some places are a short walking distance. Quiet town with less activity in some neighborhoods. Great opportunity for employment citywide!
There is a ton of things to do in Salem. There are local shopping areas such as the Rockingham Mall and there are numerous restaurants to choose from. It is a town that is always changing. Salem has it's own history as well. One of the original Coca-Cola factories has been refurbished and turned in to a strip mall and the old race track is being turned in to it's own little community. There will be housing such as condos and apartments but there will also be shopping, restaurants and entertainment options.
