I really enjoy the historical nature of the city and the tourists that come visit every October for Halloween. This is the time of year when everyone congregates together for seasonal enjoyment. I wish there were more opportunities to see this happen because everyone has a great time. As far as change in the city, I would like to see some of the traffic routes change because the commuter time can be very long, especially on cut-through roads. I would also like to see a return of the plastic bags in stores and encourage residents to dispose of them properly. Overall, the City of Salem is a great place to be!

Very nice place to live, very quiet is very easy to keep to yourself and not be bothered by anyone if you don't want to be bothered. Unfortunately, the lack of available public transportation for people with disabilities is very disappointing. Being someone who has a disability. I have a distinct disadvantage when it comes to getting out and doing things in my community. Knowing this, I believe a strong public transportation system is essential for not only physically handicapped people. But for people in general to have better access to the entertainment and essential businesses within their communities.
I live in the Willows Park area of Salem and our experience here is incredible. The community holds events around all major holidays and in January during a snowstorm, the community helped everyone reach safety, stake out in the warmth and helped with the after math. Salem is also a lovely community that has good food and friendly people to boot!
