- Town in Texas
Rating 4.17 out of 5 12 reviews
Tourist trap filled with trust fund kids and racist boomers. The good restaurants are pretty overpriced. Cool place if you like Texas history.
Salado is a small, quaint town. It is mostly known for its golf courses and the annual Christmas Stroll. There are no stoplights, only a hand full of restraunts, but it is becoming more developed.
Salado is currently occupied by a bunch of very old, conservative people - it is mainly a retirement community with shops and bed/breakfasts thrown in. It is starting to change and more younger families are starting to move in to escape the sprawl of Austin.
The development of this town is amazing. Salado has a very strong small-town charm with many benefits. The schools are the best in the county and the scenery is beautiful and attracts many visitors.
Salado is a great community that makes you feel like you belong. I currently live in Salado and I attend the Salado High School. I feel that Salado is the right place for me.
Salado is a beautiful place to visit, and a beautiful place to live. Every weekend there is something going on in Salado, whether its live music, a parade, or local event going on.
Salado is a very small town that is growing right now. It has lots of little shops on Main Street and people are friendly. The education system at Salado is extremely rigorous and prepares you for the future.
I have lived in Salado for almost nine years, and my experience has been mostly enjoyable. Salado is a small, rural town full of "country folk" but also full of people with other ambitions. It has a clean atmosphere overall, making it the perfect place to grow up. With Interstate 35 running through the center of town, there is always life and growth.
Beautiful town with awesome local shopping and restaurants. Lacking some convince shopping and grocery store options. Wonderful schools and people.
I love the closeness of the Salado community. Everyone is very supportive of the school system, ranging from academic excellence to extra-curricular success. Salado provides comfort and convenience to residents by offering numerous shops and opportunities for community collaboration and fun. I thoroughly enjoy being around the Salado community.
