Rye is a wonderful beach town for retirees. That's all it is. The public schools seem like a mess on the outside, but constantly pump out top high school and college students. There is nothing to do but bask in your expensive house or go to the beach which I have gotten tired of in the past decade. Rye is beautiful, and the houses are gorgeous. Being right outside of Portsmouth helps the lifestyle of residents since there is no downtown or nightlife in Rye. Rye is a great place, if you can find affordable real estate.

The best thing about Rye is the beaches. There is Rye Beach, as well as multiple other beaches that Rye is close to. Rye is also close to the many amenities in Portsmouth and Seabrook – it is such a short drive to go shopping, and find awesome places to eat and explore. Rye is a very pretty town as far as the beaches, and pretty neighborhoods that people own nice homes, as it is kind of a high-class area. One thing that could use improvement in Rye is the recreational center for children. It is disappointing how poor the recreational system is, because the school district is so great.
Rye is a great beach town in New Hampshire. Nice houses, community, and small town. Love the beach and forest areas. Overall great town.
