Rye Brook Reviews
Rating 3.47 out of 5 17 reviews
Rye Brook could be a great place to live but its plagued with politics and the local government does absolutely nothing to help the residents in this area. Their biggest accomplishment during COVID was putting up a no left turn sign on a busy street corner. The schools are so behind the times and not even close to being up to date with the latest educational technologies widely used today. The only reason they are rated highly is because many students come from wealthy families with ties into ivy league schools. The village administration rapes the resident by taking every dollar they can. I had to pay hundreds of dollars for a permit to cut down a dead tree and I couldn't even do it myself on my own property that I pay well over $30000 a year in taxes for. Your investment will never be worth it here and there's really nothing to do except walk around and go to the soccer field. The relaxing environment here is ruined by politics. Guaranteed your car will get broken into several times
Schools are top rated with kids high test score averages. Easy commute and surrounded by so many restaurants and parks for the family.
The schools in this town are very good and the students graduate high school ready for college. The only issues with this town are that the taxes are very high, the town doesn't have much to do, and that there is very little diversity.
This town is ok. The people are nice and educated for the most part but it's not very diverse, mostly Jewish. Schools are top rated and it's close to very good amenities, but not for me.
The schools are excellent but diversity is lacking. Similarly, neighbors tend to be pompous and not welcoming.
We love our little village, especially on Valley Terrace. Friendly neighbors, who care about each other. Block parties, Halloween fun, beautiful Christmas decor and great schools. We are also next to Port Chester with the Capitol Theater and over 125 restaurants. Greenwich is right up the street and we have our own beach in Rye Town Park. It's a very safe community with lots of kids and a nice mix of seniors and young families. Great cops and fireman and EMS. Plus we have some beautiful parks. It's a really nice community!
Police so drugs and drink. Only break up domestic fights and noise issues usually. High taxes keep the area fairly well contained, but not a lot of street lamps.
It's too homogenous and there are too many banks, no where to go to do things.
The atmosphere is fair . Everyone tries there best to make a living . However surrounding towns have it way better than mine does. But we all value what we have and are greatful
I love and blessed to have a home . However , everyone seems friendly but inside you have a vibe of not very nice people . Very materialistic . The community is reconstructing this area . Community is trying to start up events however most go out of business
Rye brook is a great little town , however everything is very expensive and privately owned. The police are always on stand by when you need them . There is never really any vandalism going on but currently a few Robberys have occurred .another thing if you go a few miles down the road opposite from my home. You reach port Chester which isn't the best place to me out at night alone
polices are around, streets are clean, cross guards
small nice town, restaurants increasing
Lots of good local businesses and access to popular chain stores and movie theaters. Great access to pretty much everything
