I am currently a high school senior at Rushville and over the last few months I've really fallen in love with this tiny town. The people are so welcoming and easy to get to know. The parades that were put on during COVID was a great way to see people in the community. The art, newly renovated farmers market and water park by the amphitheature are great ways to provide more activities to the city of Rishville. Live by the Levee is another great way to meet new people and have a good time close to home. I'm not sure if its just growing up and getting ready to leave this town for college that makes me appreciate it so much, but with these recent changes I've learned to be more involved in the community.
I have lived in this town for all of my life and during this time I have been able to see Rushville shrink. However, this community has begun to grow its resources to those who live there. I love the community feeling behind me that makes everyone feels supported.
I have lived in Rushville my entire life and I think that it is one of the best places to grow up, small town wise. There is always things that can be improved, however that is the same for every town. There isn't a ton of variety of opportunities, but the town is changing to accommodate for this. Recently we obtained a grant to do a futsal court and rebuilt the Princess Theatre. For people my age, that's a major win. The community is tightnit and it feels like everyone knows one another. Even though it has problems that are always being fixed and drama that comes with a small town, Rushville is a great town.
