Great little town full of History...The local Museum is a great place to visit. Rupert's High School was the first all electric in the United States. There is lots community involvement such as fairs, events on the Historic square such as Halloween events, forth of July, Easter, the famous boat races, Venetians events, and many more. There is a historical Theater with great live shows. Great small town feel. There are carnivals. There is a huge Lake Walcot out to Minidoka Damn with fishing, camping, swimming, a bird refuge. several parks, lots local sports and community involvement.
One of the greatest places I have ever lived. I’m 70 years old and have lived all over the USA and Rupert is the only place I have lived that is everything I’ve ever wanted. Great people, great community, great services and wonderful atmosphere. Rupert Square is the place to enjoy our history as well as the Minidoka Museum.
Rupert is a great small town were the people are friendly, and the scenery is beautiful. With the Snake River close by, there are plenty of opportunities to enjoy a vast amount of outdoor activities as well as great food at the local restaurants.
