Ruckersville is a nice, small town in Virginia. It is not far from bustling cities such as DC, Charlottesville, and CWCville. I really like that Ruckersville has a WalMArt, although last time I went the Xbox and Sonic The Hedgehog signs in the gaming aisle were heavily vandalized. The dating scene is not great, I know many who find it difficult to attract a boyfriend-free-girl around these parts. As far as education goes, nearby is the local community college, run by the supreme Mary Lee Walsh. The housing market is also great, and the homes are affordable with nice neighborhoods. No trouble on my street, except of course for when my eccentric neighbor's house caught on fire a few years back. Finally, you are in rural VA, so there are many farms ripe with wheat, corn, and kiwis. Overall, I love Ruckersville. Zap to the extreme!
I like the opportunities provided by the high school. They have many different subjects to study such as cosmetology, auto mechanics, criminal justice, forensic science, EMT training. They also have a program for students to earn their Associates degree while in high school. It is very rigorous, but can save families a lot of money in college tuition.
Ruckersville is a great distance from Charlottesville and the surrounding area. It is close to both CVIlle and RVA, as well as Shenandoah National Park and Blue Ridge Parkway. There are dozens of small local businesses and restaurants to visit as well.
