Ruby Reviews

I moved to Ruby, South Carolina, almost six years ago and I cannot wait to get out of this town to move on to a bigger city. It is extremely small and the few buildings that are present are unkempt. As a young woman I find it difficult to discover any positive activities for young adults, it’s even trying to find activities for my active two-year-old son. Some people are kind but there is unspoken racism present which I have encountered on multiple occasions, all the more so in the segregated churches. While there are many downsides to the community, I can say that I have never feared for my family’s safety and that is what keeps me here for now.
