I grew up in Royersford. My parents bought a Roboda townhouse for $30k in the 80s. Roboda townhouses now sell for over $200k! I used to live in a single, beautiful, huge civil war home in Gettysburg on 300 acres. My rent was cheaper than what Roboda rental properties go for. Property taxes are outrageous. Too expensive in Royersford. I live in Central Pennsylvania. You can buy a decent single home for $47k. You can rent a home for $400/month. Who would have thought living 4 hours away from Royersford would be so much cheaper? My Mom still lives in Royersford and wants me to move closer, but with being on disability, I can't afford to live there. I was diagnosed with a brain tumor. My neurologist believes the radiation emitted from the Limerick Power Plant could have caused my tumor.
