I have been living in Georgia since last October and I must say it's a very welcoming city. Not only is the city welcoming, but the atmosphere is breathtaking, especially during the fall and winter months. I've never seen so many smiles in one place. My neighborhood and the people who live there are very friendly, and I think it's wonderful when neighbors get together and create a space where people can connect and take part in gardening. We also organize events from time to time so that the whole neighborhood gathers and enjoys themselves!
Roswell has a small town feel but with everything you need and more. We have the best park system in the area with a river as one of our borders. We can bike, walk, skate, picnic, paddle board, row, kayak...you get the idea. The schools are in the top 5 rankings in the state. We are mostly a residential town with lots of neighborhoods full of single family homes with yards and old trees. We also have many great restaurants. Some stayed open during COVID because their clients supported them by buying takeout meals until the weather was good enough to sit outside. Some restaurant owners banded together last year with suppliers and made meals which they handed out one afternoon a week, no questions asked, to anyone who needed one. We are that kind of town! We also have great shopping, with lots of options both big box stores and privately owned, as well as several grocery chains. You really can find whatever you need here.
Roswell is a very homey-town. The community always has lots of interesting things to do and has great programs for kids. The City in the past hasn't been super diverse, but it is getting better as more minorities move and open businesses here. The community here is very involved in the local politics and care a lot about the City. The City is also home to many river parks and the local government provides lots of resources. It is a very family-friendly oriented town, the high schools are good, the elementary and middle schools are okay. There's a lot of great restaurants and bars to check out around the City. We have a large Hispanic population and there are many Hispanic-owned business in the area, which is great for the diversity as a City. It is a pretty safe city to live in, there's lots of trees and resources. We have just about every type of Grocery Store, Restaurant, Car Dealerships, Entertainment, and more all within the City limits.
