Only 30 minutes from Atlanta, Roswell feels like a small town with big city advantages and shops! Canton street is a mile long downtown area with local shops and restaurants that are overflowing with job opportunities for high schoolers. The public high school in the area is Roswell High which has incredibly high ratings and really gives students a four years they will never forget. Roswell is overflowing with parks for new families and pets to enjoy an afternoon in the sun.

Moved here a year ago and absolutely love it! It's a safe family oriented town. The Roswell North Elementary school worked out well for our kids- it has a great community of involved parents and wonderful teachers&staff with access to the park nearby and its creek for regular natural studies field trips. The Roswell Park provides an abundance of outdoors activities, after school enrichment and sports as well as camps at affordable costs for different ages, tennis courts and a great swimming pool. If you're within RNE proximity you'll have easy access to shopping and dining as well as walkability to downtown and park. Junior sports league in Roswell are top tier. Monthly events planned - Live After 5 every 3rd Thursday of the month, with bands, street performers and kids activities; organized bike rides throughout the year as it is developing into a very bike friendly town. All in all Roswell is a big city with a small town vibe where you can get a lot of house for your money.
The residential taxes are a bit high because it is a largely residential instead of industrial area. That being said, it is a beautiful area with great neighborhoods and a lively community. I live in one of the neighborhoods near Canton street and the Roswell square, and there are often activities going in those areas. The city has a lush treeline because of a requirement to replant a certain number of trees for however many you cut down in construction. The area has been developing a lot in recent years, with the addition of high-income housing and neighborhoods in many areas. Some of the older neighborhoods are beautiful, often with old Georgian colonial style brick houses. Besides all of this, the Chattahoochee river runs along the southern edge of the city, providing an opportunity for activities such as kayaking and fishing. Overall, I highly recommend Roswell as a place to live.
