Roseland Reviews

Small town (3 square mile) with parks - woods -trails - fabulous school. People get to know each other through school, town concerts, farmer's market, church, scouting, recreation and family filled neighborhoods. Small center of town meet many needs and stability of taxes (lowest in Essex County) and creative, caring government fill out wonderful picture.
My family and I moved to Roseland in 2021. Very friendly and neighborly community. Excellent school for pk-6 grade. Safe and quiet. There are no trains and 1 bus line so you need a car. No nightlife at all. Neighborhood is more diverse than I thought and honestly being that my family is black and latino I thought we would not be as welcomed and stand out but we have been embraced in the community with open arms. We are super excited and happy to be Roseland residents.
very intolerant community. racist and unfriendly people since 2016. You are not accepted if you have not lived here for the majority of your life. Hostile to renters.
