Roseburg Reviews

I have lived the majority of my life in Roseburg, Oregon. Roseburg is located in southern Oregon, tucked into the most beautiful location. Beautiful mountains, waterfalls, rivers, and hikes are all within an hour drive of this sweet little town, as well as the coast and Oregon caves are within a two hour drive.
I personally love that Roseburg is on the smaller side, meaning we have the ability to be apart of a tight knit community. Having a smaller community that is well knit means that no matter what is wrong I have a close friend/neighbor I can call on to help me out. It is nice to go into stores, restaurants and most locations around town and see a friendly face!
I also believe that Roseburg has all the necessary things I need in a town! Sadly there is no target, but we have all our needs met with grocery stores, a few clothing stores, gas stations, medical facilities, and a bunch of restaurants. New restaurants in fact we just gained an In and Out Burger as well as a Chipotle!!!

Roseburg is a very Calm and quiet place to live, the town is mainly for retirement folks. Unless you love nature and are looking for a job in healthcare than the odds of you finding something fun and enriched within the town is unlikely. It isn't to kid friendly since its mostly a town for sightseeing and for people looking to settle down and retire. The housing has gone up recently as well and of which has caused a huge wave of homelessness within the community of Roseburg. The beautiful landscapes, wildlife and outdoor activities are like nowhere else I've ever seen Add the fact that Roseburg is located right on the I-5 and highway 38. The I-5 north takes only an hour or so to reach Eugene, south for half an hour will land you at seven fathers casino. with Medford farther down. I feel that there should be more action done about the homeless problem along with their mental health issues and the drug addiction within that community. Otherwise beautiful landscape and forest to explore.
Roseburg is a small quiet town for the most part. It's surrounded by gorgeous forests, rivers and lakes. As of 2020 Roseburg has a population of 23,683. It's downtown having many great restaurants and cute shops. It's more republican than democrat here in Douglas County. Cost of living is 9.3% lower than the U.S. average. Something I struggle with here is that it is primarily Christian, and I am atheist. I do love to gather with my Christian friends and go on hiking adventures, disk golfing, camping, rafting and snow tubing adventures that are all just short drives away. Roseburg is ever expanding; we now have an In and Out burger joint, and a Five Guys. I am a mother and really wish there were more indoor play opportunities for this area especially it being such a wet climate.
