My husband and I moved to Rose Hill from Fort Washington and plan on making this a permanent home for us. We love the community and accessibility to shops, entertainment etc. Everyone is super family oriented, friendly and helpful. I would suggest that everyone come and move to the Rose Hill community.
Personally, I think it is okay due to me being really young. On the other hand, the older people HATE it!
They hate the snow, they hate the flooding, they hate the heat, they hate the cold.
In one recent week, we had all four seasons roll by! No joke, a spring, then snow, then summer, then a chill all in one week.
We have little to no tornadoes, but a lot of warnings around that time of year.
Sometimes, the weather gets so bad that the power may go out. It helps to have a generator!
WHAT TO WEAR: Warm water-protective trench coat, suit made out of thick fabric, breathable blouse/ shirt, high quality and durable leather belt, cheap shorts for the summer or for exercise, lots of black socks, very durable shoes (protective and sealed if it's going to rain), comfortable and proper under garments (for volatile temperatures, it happens often), an emergency jacket

Living in Alexandria is great because there is Old Town, 5 minutes away and there are thousands of little shops there from eating to salons to pet stores to any type of shopping. And, Old Town is right by the water and you can go to the park and watch some boats come in. It's a very old historic place that has a lot of beautiful houses with unique architecture. I would choose to live here again because there is always something to do not far away. Everyone around the are is very friendly and does not have a high crime rate.
