Growing up here, I have experienced many different cultures and benefitted from above-average schools. I have been extremely blessed to experience this place that I will always call home; however, there is called a "bubble" because it is so different from places around it.
This city is known for being an extremely wealthy area. Just a couple of hundred yards away from the city boundary is one of the poorest government housing blocks in the country. This city could benefit from being more aware of its surroundings and helpful towards others.

Rolling Hills Estates is truly a great spot to raise a family. With so many great parks, hiking trails and amazing restaurants. Being a senior in high school, I can personally say us kids receive a great education. Everybody is always greeting each other and helping out one another. The volunteer service is top notch and help wanted signs are not out to regularly but down the hill in nearby Redondo Beach or Torrance, you can easily find a job. The number 3 biggest mall in America is just 7 miles from the hill and has so many amazing shops and restaurants. Rolling Hills Estates is truly an amazing place.
Rolling Hills Estates is a beautiful city. However, it does seem to try a bit too hard to maintain an "image", which makes it a bit unpleasant to live in sometimes. For example, my neighborhood (and presumably all neighborhoods in the area) does not allow for cars to be parked on the street at night. This is stressful, and causes my family to be a bit creative with how we move and park our cars due to us having more cars than space. Street parking would certainly save a lot of headaches, and I do not think it would make the neighborhood look any less beautiful.
