People who grow up in Rockville Centre never want to move. On every block you will find life long residents who invest heavily in the community including maintaining their homes, volunteering and working towards ensuring the schools provide the best for their children. The blocks are generally beautiful, and on any given day you can see the residents walking through their neighborhoods. Children thrive in this environment, and the aging also, with their choice of a range of interesting opportunities and specialty services from an award winning Senior Center and a constantly improving college located on the outskirts of the town.

I have lived in Rockville Centre all my life, and the environment is very lively. The center of town has many locally-owned eateries, shops, and bars. The public high school is a highly accredited institution offering AP and IB courses to all students. Safety is not a concern. The patrols and low crime rates create a sense of comfort when "out on the town." The bars have curfews so as not to disrupt residents sleeping. The train station is perfectly situated and offers easy access to the city. Mercy and South Shore Hospitals are praised for their accommodations and success. Molloy College on the northside of town is a notable college that draws students from across the United States. Overall, aside from the high taxes and alcoholic teens, Rockville Centre is a great place to raise a family in the suburbs and enjoy the closeness of the greatest city in the world.
I Iike Rockville Centre, but I feel there’s a lot that could change for the better. This town is a town we’re the parents mostly live through the students eyes in the sports and or school activities that are are school puts on and in my eyes I think that’s not right and could be changed. Also I believe that our town in a community that always comes tighter but only in times of heirs which I believe is not right and I wish to help change over time.
