im in high school in Rockford an i like the feel Rockford has ween i vist other towns i cant find something similar to Rockford
Great city with vibrant culture and some good people. I have lived in Rockford nearly my entire life and have not hated it.
So far so good! We moved here about 4 years ago and kinda fell in love with Rockford! Its like a mini Chicago but less violent. The downtown was starting to light up right before COVID but it's been pretty quiet since. The community is really active, there are plenty of resources for help, people are really kind here. There are some crime areas but that's EVERYWHERE. Rockford has a beautiful river area(Sinnissippi), great food, entertainment, and community events. What else can I say about Rockford... its a big small city... meaning at time it can feel like a quant small town but other times its a hustle and bustle city. There are some major projects being done right now to upgrade our downtown area as well as our main roads throughout the community. Rockfordians are very vocal and outgoing, friendly! I work for the county here and absolutely love it!
Rockford is a great place to live and work. I was born and raised in Rockford. It's the perfect size; it has a small-town feel without being too small. There are plenty of fun things to do: bowling, outdoor sports, amazing dining options, and a cute downtown!
Location, cost of living, job opportunities. Close to chicago and northwest Illinois. Real estate prices are very reasonable.
What I love about Rockford is the home feeling I get as I enter the city. Rockford has a small amount of everything. The city isn't too fast or too slow and the food is great. Id love for Rockford to get a stronger handle on the violence within the city and create more youthful programs for the children to stay out of trouble.
Rockford is a nice size city to live and work in. Everything you need is close. Our vet is ten minutes down the road. All the stores we go to are very close to us. Very nice place to live.
Rockford is a cultural and diverse hub if ever there was one. Loaded with entertainment, there is never a dull moment.
A big city to live. So much to do. Lots of stores that close by to go to. Lots of food places that are very good. Nice place to live and work. Three hospitals in Rockford.
I enjoy living in Rockford. Coming from the suburbs I feel as though there are more ways people can make differences.
There are a few things I like about Rockford. It's so family friendly with lots to do and the diversity makes it even better. Something I would like to see change would be all the abandoned buildings. There's so much that can be done with the them instead of them just being left abandoned.
Rockford is a place where you can have good memories. There are events like "Friday Night Flix" where families can go and watch free movies in the park, "BMO Harris Bank Center" where hockey games get played or concerts like Disney on Ice, as well as the shopping areas for all ages in Rockford Illinois. There are amazing hospitals in Rockford and doctors and nurses that really care about you. That is one of the reasons why I plan on studying medicine because of the people that have been around me my whole life. The Music In The Park always make me happy getting to listen to music that may not be on the radio. I wish there were more recreation spots for families to be able to take a load off and go rock climbing or more events that happen downtown everyday instead of one day events. Over all Rockford Illinois is a place I call home because of the positive vibes that Rockford has to offer
I enjoy the fact that there is everything here that I would need without going far away. Always had a very good time here.
I have really come to love living in Rockford, Illinois as it a place of great people and work ethic. When I first moved to Rockford, I was a bit stressed because I didn't really know anyone in my area. This feeling was quickly removed as I found that my fellow neighbors were just waiting to welcome me and my family to the city. It also says something of how much of a family atmosphere exists here in Rockford, as each and every person looks out for the other. Lastly, the working environment is great as most people are not shy about working hard to get the job done.
We have just moved to Rockford, IL. We enjoy everything that it has offered so far from spacious dog parks to beautiful river walks.
My overall experience was nice. The site offered many different scholarship choices and basic questioning. The questionnaire wasn't drawn out or going into multiple screens in order to get to the intended purpose for visiting the site. It's age friendly and would recommend it to others who are in the process or considering returning to school.
Rockford is a beautiful place, lot's of history. In the summer you can ride a trolley and watch an outdoor movie, also, a City Market on Fridays. Lot's of Festivals, Fairs, and, Parks.
