Working in Rockford
I have lived in rockford my whole life and do not plan on moving ever! I have gained so many great friends at Rockford High School and will carry them with me forever. I have never not felt safe (no locking my car door right when I get in, no being scared walking alone at night). This town has so many kind people that would help out in case of an emergency. It is also so conveniently placed just 20 minutes from downtown GR and only a 40 minute drive to Lake Michigan! I can't forget to mention the unique boutiques located in downtown Rockford that are amazing!
Rockford is a very friendly town with much to do. You can meet new people every day! However, after living here for years I have run out of things to do, and activities become repetitive. It seems as if the highlight of Rockford now is to go get ice cream every so often and work all the time. There is also very little diversity in Rockford. The community is mainly white, and I would like to see a more diverse town.
Rockford is an excellent city with a huge friendly school district and an amazing downtown area. Rockford utilizes the beautiful scenery with the iconic Rockford Dam and the White Pine Trail which travels through downtown Rockford. Additionally, there is many well-known restaurants such as the Corner Bar and Rouge River Tavern which is loved by all. Overall, Rockford is a well-knit community.
