This area is a very serene and calm area. It is very military family oriented and everyone around here supports the definition of southern hospitality. The schools focus greatly on their students and being so close to the army and air force base many students decide to go that route. It is an absolutely wonderful area. With everywhere else I have lived I am happy to have come back to Fayetteville North Carolina for my schooling, for I see this area developing and expanding their values and new families coming in and falling in love with the area.
In Hope Mills, crimes are few and far between. Many people feel incredibly safe in this area with the amount of military members and officers living in the area. The police are some of the greatest people I have met and are on the scene as soon as possible. The only problem one may say Hope Mills has is the amount of car accidents. This is due to the fact that the interstate runs right through the middle of town, as well as its location in the country there is a lack of stoplights. Overlooking those avoidable issues Hope Mills is safe and relatively crime free.
There are no sidewalks! Walking is rare, and can be dangerous. Everyone mostly drives their car, maybe a few use the bus, but the bus seems to be only prevalent in town. As far as I've seen there is no paying for parking. Also, to be specific, Skibo Road gets very congested and hectic in the afternoon, usually after 4 o'clock.
