I enjoy living in Rock Springs, the town is small enough, but large enough to have the amenities needed for basic necessities. The town has a rich history that is quite impressive, the historical tour of downtown is fun to take and learn about the town. I love the history museum, I love the old pictures of everything! The town has worked hard to clean up and make downtown nice again and I think the efforts have really paid off. The people are friendly and always out to lend a helping need when people need it, usually no questions asked, which I find wonderful. We are all just good hearted people looking out for our neighbors and loving living in the great state of Wyoming and being so close to all the wonderful outdoor amenities it has to offer.

I moved to Rock Springs when I was 3 years old and have lived here most of my life, with the exception of, a 0 year period I lived in the Denver. Rock Springs is what is called a "Boom Bust" town.I have been here through both insanely fast growth, (known as a 'boom times" and I have been here when all the business were closed up and no work of any kind was available. The Oil field is the driving industry in Rock Springs. We are home to 56 different nationalities. This is nice because we have variety of culture here. One thing that seems to be true of all locals is that they are proud of their statehood and always willing to help thier neighbor. I chose to move hoje andraise my family here hoping to instill the same hard work ethic and compassion that I learned while growing up here.
Rock Springs is a small town, mostly surrounded by miners. I moved here to be with my family while completing my associates degree. I have a young son, 14 months old, and it lacks activities for someone his age. While I love how quickly I can get from one destination to the next, I wish there were more family friendly activities. The housing is pretty expensive if you're looking to buy and unfortunately the job market is kind of sparse.
