Rochester is a great place to live! I love the downtown and community they have created. There are many ways to get the most out of living in Rochester, and access to their parks and community events have been very enjoyable.
Great area to raise a family. Safe area. Lots of great places for food and great downtown to walk around
The traffic is terrible, the people who drive shouldn't, they just whip out in front of you and hope you can brake in time. The majority of the people are overall rude and self absorbed. There are decent people in this town but they are hard to come by. This used to be an amazing family friendly town, now its just run by people who want to keep building luxury apartments when there is already no parking and a ton of traffic.
I called Rochester home for nearly 22 years before I moved to New England after graduating from OU. While I’ve grown a lot since moving away, Rochester still feels like home. The downtown area is so charming and pretty, and there are many trails in and around the area for outdoor activity. While I’m glad I have experienced life elsewhere, a part of me is interested in coming back to Rochester as an adult to try and create a life here. As the saying goes: there’s no place like home 🌞
Rochester has always been home for me. It is the place I was born, and the place that has shaped me for the past 17 years into the young adult I am today. Rochester Michigan is home to a charming downtown area full of small businesses and great restaurants. Surrounded by three in-district high schools, the young demographic is very present in Rochester. Filled with parks, farmer's markets, endless city-sponsored events, and school-pride programs, the city always has something to offer. The only thing my city seems to lack in is diversity. Being a pre-dominantly white city, we seem to miss out on some of the cultural-immersion aspects so many cities learn from. Although Rochester may lack in it's diversity, it has been home to me and I could not ask for a better one.
I love living in the city of Rochester, Michigan! Rochester offers a great community to grow up as a child in. The downtown of Rochester is not too busy and populated, but it still offers a fun small city vibe that I have loved for my time being here. Rochester is packed with many small businesses, so, living there, one gets to understand what it is like being part of a tight knit community.
Rochester Michigan is a town that I will live in for the rest of my life. Everything is in close proximity of each, with a park being within walking distance of Downtown Rochester, the hub of the city. Rochester Michigan also hosts many events, that bring the community together, such as the holiday parade, the bright light show, and the fire and ice festival.
It's full of diverse things to do, but night can be a bit scary with traffic and people. Most people here are nice, but there can be some weirdos out there. But there's so much to do here that it sort of outweighs the negatives.
It's a great community! The people are nice, and the area is quite safe. Wide variety of restaurants and public schools are good too.
Rochester is a nice suburb with a good amount of things to do. There are many different restaurants that I have found very tasty. The night-life is not too crazy, but if you want to go somewhere, you have a lot of options in Detroit or other cities nearby. Its not the most diverse city, but I still enjoy living there.
A very family friendly town with lots of things to do. A beautiful town to visit during the holidays. Downtown Rochester has the best light show around and delicious restaurants. An amazing school district and safe neighborhoods.
Its a really nice area, possible a little too nice for some, as people can be overly rich and snooty. Besides that, its an extremely safe area with many public schools in the area. The restaurant and bar scene is additionally very nice, as they have a wide variety of options. It can be a little expensive and traffic can be pretty congested at times. Other than those negative points, Rochester Hills is a wonderful place to live.
I love Rochester MI! It has amazing schools and is very safe. There is a village with shopping and restaurants and also a downtown area that is awesome. Every Christmas they put lights on all the buildings and get thousands of people per year to come and see them.
It's a pretty nice town. There's a good park, the downtown area is cute and the schools are pretty good. The houses can get pretty expensive, though.
Rochester is a very nice place to live. It is not too far from Detroit, but it still has a homey suburban feel, with plenty of green space.
There is a lot you can do in Rochester, the downtown area is filled with restaurants and little shops. The community is very welcoming and there is always something to do.
I Love the community and endless community events! Rochester is quaint, but it also has plenty of options for entertainment, food, and education. There's plent of activities for people of all ages to participate in and always community events going on.
