I went to school here from 4th-12th grade and I absolutely loved it! A lot of my teachers grew up in Rochester/Rochester Hills and knew they wanted to come back -- and I can see why! It has a very 'hometown' feel while still offering a lot to do. There's surprisingly lots attractions and festivals to look forward to each year.
A very nice place with tons of things to do from bike trails, downtown, sightseeing, and events make it very fun. There are some very beautiful spots, especially downtown, and there are tons of restaurants with each one feeling unique and different. Most people are fairly nice and you always feel safe. The events like the lights during Christmas and the lights during the 4th of July give Rochester Hills a cozy kind of feeling that is nice to be around.
Rochester Hills, Michigan has quite a wide array of diversity amoungst it's Residents making it ideal for all ages, races, sex to come together as a community. Our city holds land for a large University, a historical downtown, shopping district, several forests, trails, and waterways. Located within a twenty minute drive to downtown Detroit in one direction, and rural farm land in the other; I consider our city the heartbeat of the suburbs. Award winning schools, friendly neighbors, and community events make the magnetic charisma of Rochester. There is great history here, from the Clinton River to Paint Creek, Native Americans to Meadowbrook; our land could tell great stories. I hope you come to visit, and find a reflection of yourself here in the city of Rochester.
