With major breweries and businesses making their way to the Valley, Roanoke has turned into a bustling community. I love the push for outdoor recreation and focus on community involvement. While Roanoke is changing, there is great attention to the preservation of our historical sites. Old Southwest and the Grandin Village are neighborhoods that others around the country would be envious of. I will always love this town!

Excellent Resturants, plenty to do on the weekend, two shopping malls and plenty of festivals to go to from the Strawberry Festival to the Drum Stick Dash. Instagram worthy pictures all during the season (especially fall time) of the breathtaking Blue Ridge Mountains or any were in the Roanoke Valley. A Pleather of parks to go on runs with family or friends and even the dog too. Diverse restaurants with many cuisines to satisfy any taste in downtown Roanoke along with bakery's, ice cream and snowcone shops; and that's just the food. An excellent town filled with many opportunities and plenty of activties for everyone!
It’s a great place for everyone in the work and education force. Many opportunities here! I moved here and was accepted into an accelerated and competitive medical program studying radiation oncology. My original plans were to move west immediately after school however Roanoke has been so welcoming and so wonderful that I, among many others decide to stay and make Virginia our new home!
