When I lived in River Oaks, I felt like I was in a movie. Everyone knows everyone and making friends with strangers isn't unheard of, it was like you were welcomed where ever you went. I will miss River Oaks, and hope anyone choosing to live there the happiness I felt as a resident!

River Oaks is an older neighborhood within Fort Worth. It is a quick 10 minutes to downtown and about 15 minutes to the stockyards. The only thing I would like to see change is the City Council itself, they do not look into actual needs of the neighborhoods.
Most of the people that live in my area are of Hispanic origin. People are usually pretty nice, but of course you have those that are rude. Most of them speak Spanish so it's hard to communicate with them.
