Ridgewood is a great town for young adults to raise their children. Ridgewood is a very tight knit community where everyone helps out and knows one another. The center of town has a good amount of shops and top rated restaurants in the county which attracts a very positive ribe throughout the town. Ridgewood residents are great supporters of the local businesses. Also, young children used the center of town as a safe haven to meet up with friends. They utilize the shops, restaurants, and movie theater; everything is within walking distance! Ridgewood has a fantastic school system that challenges students and allows for high college acceptance rates. The faulty is outstanding and does not leave anyone behind. Ridgewood's school system also offers a wide variety of afterschool activities for the children, including camps at the town pool! Overall Ridgewood is an outstanding town and a wonderful community for families to grow.

Love Ridgewood! Moved here for the schools, the education is amazing. The town is fun and walkable. I feel safe here and recommend to parents to move to Ridgewood.
I went to Ridgewood H.S., & returned recently for 2 yrs. to do eldercare & sell our house. It is family friendly & safe, with a great library., pool, and art & craft businesses (among overpriced stores). The location is good for public transit. However, single adults here can feel isolated, depending on one's neighborhood. My street has a wonderful yearly block party. but my own close neighbors were mostly "out to lunch" when it came to ever talking to me or inquiring about my relative. I was a single woman w/ no car and thankfully reconnected with a h.s. classmate .. Fortunately h.s. reunions are now friendly (snob factor decreases with age!). The town tried to reach out to seniors recently. (The small senior center could use more resources...). I appreciate having lived here once but now as an adult I'd choose a place with more diversity and nightlife...
NOTE: Very little affordable housing for seniors or anyone...
