Richmond, RI is a very simple and quiet town. There is not much going on and that isn't always a bad thing. It's close to the University of Rhode Island and not too far from the beaches in Westerly, RI. In addition, it's a good place to live you want a quiet and normal life. However, if you want more than just that, it can be quite boring. It's about 45 minutes from Providence, RI, but besides that, there isn't much else to do. The town also is not very diverse, along with many other places in Southern Rhode Island.

The highlight of this town is how close it is to cool stuff, not the stuff in it. Half an hour from mystic, half an hour from warwick, 45 minutes to providence, hour and fifteen minutes to boston. There is a grocery store, a few drug stores, a few dollar stores, a few fast food joints, a liquor store or two and that's about it. The layout of the town includes everything I just mentioned on a section of route 138, and then some roads branching out from 138 that connect to neighborhoods. In our "town square" of sorts, there is the town hall, the elementary school, and an old schoolhouse that is no longer in use.
Richmond is a rural town in Rhode Island. There is not much to do in the town itself, however, it is near beaches, the University of Rhode Island, hiking trails, and many other notable things in Rhode Island.
