Richmond Reviews

Richmond has lots of local establishments from all your favorite stores, and new vast discoveries. The city is great with little to no crime rate and I've been living here for 16 years, I would know! During Hurricane Harvey, Richmond was one of the few cities to survive the flooding which makes this place extremely family-friendly. To the multiple public schools and academic excellence, your kid will do great here!
I really love the fact that Richmond isn’t too crowded, very diverse and full of nightlife adventures. You can’t help but love Richmond for all the right reasons.
Richmond isn’t super crowded like Katy, Texas. Everything you need to close by and takes a good amount of time to get there and back to your house. Instead of waiting in stop and go traffic, you’ll find yourself having an easier time, not to mention less time, going to work and heading back home.
Another reason i love Richmond is because of the different cultures. Meeting new people and learning about their culture can be a rare experience, and bring in something new to try like food. Schools in Richmond, Texas are diverse as well, so not only you but also your children can learn something unique.
Lastly, Richmond is full of nightlife go-to spots. Whether that be a fun dance night out, a nice relaxed wine tasting, or even to watch sports and have some drinks.

There is so much history here in my hometown of Richmond, Texas. Early residents include Jane Long, Deaf Smith, and Mirabeau Lamar, who are all buried in Richmond. Coincidentally, the schools my children have attended include Long Elementary, Smith Elementary, and Lamar Jr High. One thing I would like to see change is North Richmond. North Richmond is “the ghetto”. It is drug infested and poverty stricken. I have witnessed many friends I grew up with become a product of their environment. Many of my friends have been to prison, are currently in prison, or have died. The reasons for their misfortunes widely involve drugs, whether it’s selling them or using them, or both. I’d like to see the day where it finally gets cleaned up. Nothing has changed “across the tracks” since I moved there as a child. I am 35 years old now. I hate it that there are still so many youth growing up there who are unable to “live” their child hood, but are merely SURVIVING.
