The Public Schools in Richmond are fantastic, although with the zoning that made many parents mad and shifted the routine in which our our city does things, we aligned ourselves appropriately, and turns out the schools are a great fit for us! Safety is not a major concern here in Richmond. The real estate market and affordability, depends on which part of Richmond you go to. There is plenty of diversity, which what Houston is all about! Of course, it's family friendly, and plenty of healthy options for people living healthy. The job opportunities are not sparse, in fact it is very vast, but if you're looking for a job, you better be an adult or someone with experience because they won't hire. Last but not least, if you choose the right job, for you considering your distance to and from the job, the commute job isn't too bad, but we do have the standard traffic that any city has, as long as you don't take any major roads or highways you'll be fine.

Last year when we were looking to move we had choice between Sugar Land, Katy or Richmond. When we drove around and checked new development, highways and crime rate; Richmond was the best option among all. There are several regions of Richmond, I am on the best side in zip code 77469 next to hwy 69/Sugar Land. We have great beautiful home, excellent schools, easy commute close to freeway community, great family culture, established community where homes are not too old like Sugar Land yet communities are built way better than Katy. We have life and peace at its best and life is excellent here. Highly recommend for people who want safe, green environment, life without crowded traffic; pollution; noise and high taxes.
I have been living in the Richmond area since I have been born and have grown to love it. There variety of stores, restaurants, attractions, and more that exist nearby is astonishing and I am never bored. In addition, all kinds of culture are respresented by our diverse community and their contributions to society through their social events, restaurants, shopping stores, and more. A few things that I wish was better was the traffic, which will push me from getting home sooner, more nature and areas to appreciate the environment, as well as better and stable weather. Every place has their pros and cons and I am still glad that I am able to live there.
