Richland Township Reviews
Richland in Cambria county is very safe and enjoyable. However, there is not much to do in the immediate area without having to drive. I will say though that the area has several activities planned throughout the year and the college do many as well.
There is much to do. I always feel safe when I am there. My friends and I are always in Richland. There is a movie theatre, bowling alley, many restaurants, a shopping mall, and so much more.
After going to college in Erie, PA and leaving all the comforts of my hometown, I became more aware of the good and not so good things about Johnstown. My family and the community I have here is great and you don't get that in big cities. One thing that showed me this is keeping in contact with teachers and how my community came together to support one of the most amazing people, teachers, and coaches I've ever known. He has been diagnosed with melanoma and as he fights the battle people continue to do so much to support his family. It is humbling to see and know that when things get tough there is a whole community behind you. However Johnstown as a whole is a very sheltered place with an increasing drug problem and not enough people can see its potential. As an old steal mill town, it is getting left behind and soon it won't be such a great place.
