The community here is great! People are constantly making the effort to recycle. There are bins set up in various areas. People tend to grow up and then leave after college. Quite a few though tend to come back and raise their families. Pets are always welcome unless the pet is considered a danger. If there are events, it's typically the same people or only those religiously involved with the group hosting the event.

There is not much to do in the Ohio Valley. All of the schools are losing their prized teachers as the athletic departments becomes more important than receiving an education. I want to live in an area that is prosperous; a place where you and your family can find something to do without having to drive two hours to get there. If someone would just put in the effort to make the Ohio Valley more commercialized, I can see it becoming a prosperous place where people would want to come to live.
There is a 50/50 mix when it comes to physical health. You see many people out walking or running but too many not making any effort at all. There are numerous gyms people have access to. The bike path and park are great places to get some exercise. You have to drive at least 15 minutes to a hospital but there are plenty of doctors' offices and urgent cares to take on minor emergencies. Drug and alcohol abuse are becoming more prevalent everyday, especially with heroin. I keep active by running on the bike oath and through town 4-6 days a week.
