I only recently started living here full time since starting college. The city itself is rather nice, and there is a pretty fair amount of things to do around here! I do wish there was more means of transportation aside from taxis, but the taxis themselves are rather nice. The job opportunities are also pretty wide, and the commute around town to places is not bad at all.

Rice Lake is the highest taxed town In Wisconsin. Don't live in the city limits, can find better property options outside Rice Lake. Businesses even move out, why do you think Walmart is outside their limits? Failed grocery stores, dept stores, strip malls, all a joke. Good luck making a living here more than minimum wage. My advice, get out and move to where there are jobs with opportunities to advance. Rice Lake will squelch progress wherever it tries to grow.
Only giving two stars for the parks, lakes, & Adventures Restaurant.
Rice Lake is a small town in northern Wisconsin. Rice Lake doesn't have many restaurants, stores, or much of anything in general. What Rice Lake does have is community. If something tragic happens the community will always be behind you. Last year there was a tragic tornado the town over and everyone band together to help. Small town people stick together. Everyone knows everyone and everyone has each others backs.
