- Suburb of Springfield, MO

I like the small town community feel, but being able to all have the amenities of a big city. We also have great restaurants with amazing food.
My husband and I purchased our first home in Republic, Missouri. We previously lived in Springfield, Missouri. We were looking to raise our family in a suburb of Springfield, with a good school district to raise our children and Republic perfectly fit our requirements. It is a beautiful smaller town with great access to the city, while also having all main needs within the town. Real estate is going up, which makes us content with our investment. The main thing that Republic needs is more police staff, as the city's population has outgrown it's staffing, and neighborhood safety is important to us. It has been wonderful to see our town grow with more people, businesses, and more.
I love the community and the people. The town has grown tremendously and I miss the small town feeling.
It's a very pretty neighborhood. However, there is a Lot of blatant bigotry. I've seen several teenagers drawing swastikas on public property. As an openly LGBTQ+ person, I've also received many unwanted and rude comments about being LGBTQ+. While the neighboring city of Springfield is much more tolerable, Republic could use some work. The stores and shops around here are very nice, however. The employees are always helpful, as best as they can be. Most stores are also well stocked. Overall a pretty good place, but it could use some education as far as tolerance is concerned.
A great town with really good schools. Lots of growth in recent years. Family friendly with a decent amount of family friendly events for a town of this size. Only 20 minute commute to Springfield.
It's small and quiet. It has been great for our family. Everything is close and convenient and there are several options for going out to eat.
Republic is a great place to grow up. Everyone knows everyone and the people here are full of life and love. There have been many new buildings and business come around and we are having a great economy boost!
I have lived in Republic for 3 years, the people and the Police department are Amazing. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. Seems as if everyone wants to move here because the houses for sale go very quickly.
Republic, Missouri is an outstanding family community. I highly recommend their public education for children. I have had wonderful personal experiences with people in Republic.
Republic has been a pretty good town for me. I've lived here for almost three years, and I haven't had any problems. There is definitely crime, but I haven't had any first hand experience. The town is a general friendly area, with numerous parks, which makes it very kid friendly. The only thing I would like to change would be to widen some of the roads, find a solution for a crazy intersection, and maybe get some more entertainment for older kids and teenagers.
Republic is an ever-growing town. I like that that since the town is getting bigger, more businesses are being built and brought to town. The neighborhoods are very welcoming and there is a variety of types of living dependent on income. Road work has recently been completed and side walks have been added. I would like to see even more business move into town and for more safety measures to be put in place for night time, such as continued building of sidewalks and more street lights.
It is a town right outside of Springfield, MO. It only takes about 20 minutes to get in to Springfield to shop of work. Republic is more of a town to live and commute a short time to a good job in the city.
Republic has the convenience of everything you need without the some of the issues that come with living in a bigger town. It has a low crime rate.
Republic is a great place to live if you want the small town feel with all the large city perks. We have lots of places to shop, eat, event centers, and a very active community program. We have lots of sports, an outdoor theater, a huge community aquatic center and more. With several beautiful and well kept parks, outdoor life is thriving. The cost of living is lower than larger cities, and the crime rates are very low. I have lived here for 10 years and loved every minute of it!
I like the fact that Republic is a neighboring city you a larger one so that the commute isn't as long. The school system is great. I feel safe, there isn't a lot of crime, and it's a very family friendly. It's got a small town feel without being very small.
Republic is an awesome small town. It had plenty of stores, restaurants, and fast food. We could add more restaurants and could definitely add some more entertainment. There's nothing to do here but to go out to eat.
Republic is close enough to a big town without the big town issues. There isn't much to do here but Springfield is very close with a lot to do there. It is a great town to raise your children. People here are proud to live here and love their community. It is a very clean town with a lot of new modern homes. It is quiet and safe.
