I've lived in Redford Township for over a decade. Although the school system isn't the best, the community is quite close knit. We have a Youth council at our community center that students at Redford Union High School and Thurston participate in. The parks are fine, and other teens feel safe enough to walk around on their own. Because of my age however, I'm not sure if my response is that helpful!

I love how it is quite and safe. I do not have to worry about too much. Its a very nice neighborhood and I have some good neighbors as well! it is overall a very nice place to live. When I wake up in the morning, I see a nice clean neighborhood. One thing that is a little unsatisfactory is that many places close early, so a great deal of things are not 24 hours. Which becomes difficult when people have families. Also, the school system in south Redford is not all that good either, they have a ridiculous and unsatisfactory special education program. In which many students are not getting the proper tools to aid them in thriving in their educations. I find that to be the worst part seeing as how my younger brother is in special education. Overall, I find that the neighborhood itself is really nice. Nothing is perfect and everything and everyone has room for improvement.
Redford Charter Township is a great community. Everyone is so unique and diverse, you can never find someone exactly the same. There are many fun things to do such as parks, recreation centers, and bowling. Many people in the stores and places are kind and take things into consideration. It is an overall safe environment where people care for others. The education is fair. There are many educational opportunities like scholarships, community service, and job opportunities. If you are ever in the market for a house, I would recommend moving to Redford Charter Township.
