Red River Reviews

This is a nice mountain town to vacation at, not live. The closest hospital and all the doctors are 45 minutes away. All the grocery stores are 45 minutes away in Taos as well. There is absolutely nothing to do here besides outdoor activities. The town gets really overcrowded during the summer and winter as big tourist crowds roll into town and do not respect any local residents or their privacy. The real estate market is a joke as the town's focus (the mayor is a realtor) is on selling as many vacation rentals as possible. Over 90% of houses in town are vacation rentals that are so overpriced. Also, it's hard to do any business or live here if you are not from Texas as the majority of the residents are Texans.
