It's a pretty generic town/area. There isn't really anything to do and it's a lot of driving to get anywhere and if you're looking for fun things to do it's most certainly a 15-30 minute drive to get anywhere. there's a few restaurants and 1 shopping area and not much else. the people who are in charge of making all of the decisions actively drive out actual good businesses and have only a few small chains. And drive out the useful store's everyone needs. Ex: Walmart we have to drive half an hour now to get to the nearest one. Overall it's not bad but if you are interested in anything besides living in a very safe but it's full of very old people and families of rich people it's not all that good. Also relating to political beliefs they lean towards etheir hyper-liberal or hyper-conservative.

Readington Township is a quaint area with lots of farms and open space. The residents are friendly, hard working and value the importance of a quality education. The area offers a sense of security as the houses are not packed on top of each other and neighbors look out after each other. There are not a lot of malls or shops which makes the area quiet and the roads safe. The local businesses that do exist are family owned and operated. The local schools provide a whole host of community involved activities such as Turkey Trots, donation programs for the local food banks and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. I would recommend living in Readington if you want country living while being located near cities such as Boston, New York and Philadelphia.
I love Readington! The general atmosphere is wonderful because it is a rather rural area compared to the rest of New Jersey that is full of highways and interstates. The only negative thing that comes to mind is the price of living here.
