I have lived here most of my life. I always seem to come back after moving away. The atmosphere here is great, everyone is very welcoming and caring. Ravenna Public School system is great, they have awesome teachers! The only thing semi-negative that I have to say is that some of the streets here in town are in pretty poor shape. Although, that is slowly getting better, as the city has been working on them. Overall a great town, I wouldn't want to raise a family anywhere else.
Ravenna has a thriving economy for a rural town. It boasts five places to eat, two grocery stores (of which one is open 24 hours), a TrueValue hardware store, and even an H&R Block. With strong community support for its local high school, Ravenna is a safe and friendly place to raise a family. All the necessities in life can be had whether you stay exclusively local or need to venture out occasionally to nearby Kearney or Grand Island.
