Niche User:It is very safe: in my neighborhood there has only been one break-in in the past 25 years and he ran away because the owner was home. It is a dead end street. There have been no other crimes. The police are very visible and very excellent at their job. They took the fake "Purge" very seriously and keep crime at bay very well.

Niche User:Some people assume that if you live in this area then you're rich and have all the money in the world. My whole life living here, I've only witnessed one break in. That's pretty good from what I'm concerned.

Niche User:I live in Louisville, Kentucky. Specifically, I live in the neighborhood of Douglass Hills. I have lived in Douglass Hills for the majority of my life and it has truly shaped me into the person I am today. Douglass Hills is a great atmosphere and community for families. The people are very friendly and welcoming, the community is diverse and growing, and the environment is safe and nurturing. If I could do it all over again, I would still choose to live in Douglass Hills because of the people I have met, the activities I was able to participate in, such as the summer swim team, and the sense of a caring and open community I was able to gain. In the future, I see this area thriving and growing in diversity.

Niche User:I have the best neighbors. They are like my extended family and I will be really sad if I move away. They have become my second parents and siblings. Most people here are here to stay and do not move away often.

Niche User:Overall, it's a great neighborhood to live in. The people are all excellent (although there is always one kid who makes trouble) but the majority of the neighbors keep to themselves and will help out if asked. The only complaint I have about this neighborhood is that NOTHING HAPPENS. It's a quiet little suburb and everything continues on like it always has; rainy and cold in the mornings and hot in the evening.
