    Lincolnshire

    • Suburb of Chicago, IL
    • 6 reviews
Works Here:Lincolnshire is A great a great town in the Northern Suburbs of Chicago. It is about forty five minutes away from the city, which makes this town a quiet, respectable and clean town. I have been working in this beautiful and quiet town for three years now and absolutely love the ambience. It is heavily forested and there are always wild animals such as coyotes, deeds, skinks and the occasional wolf roaming around. In Lincolnshire one almost always needs personal transportation to go from one place to their desired destination. Commuting to and fro Lincolnshire, might be an issue for people without a car. My only suggestion for change in this town will be to add more public transportation.

    Long Grove

    • Suburb of Chicago, IL
    • 5 reviews
Current Resident:This town is quite historic, people from all over come to visit it during all of the seasonal festivals. The town is very into decorating for all of the holidays and festivities. It is quant and wants to remain a historical town rather an upgraded town. The food places are very good and the shops are cute - slightly overpriced. The residents are all friendly and welcoming. It is very safe yet still close to other major stores like grocery stores and pharmacies.

    Buffalo Grove

    • Suburb of Chicago, IL
    • 91 reviews
Former Resident:Buffalo Grove was the town I grew up in ever since I was born all the way until I graduated high school. All of my memories are here. The schooling is amazing, the people here are extremely friendly, the parks are great, and it's extremely safe. This is a perfect place to raise a family and have a great life. The only problem is there isn't a downtown area, and you might get bored since there aren't that many places to go out. Other than that, Buffalo Grove is great!

    Lexington

    • Suburb of Boston, MA
    • 46 reviews
Current Resident:The amazing town of Lexington is the birthplace of the American Revolutionary War. The Lexington school district is among the top ranked in the state of MA and nationally. It is a friendly, family oriented, environmentally conscious and affluent community. Lexington is also very charitable and provides many opportunities for community service. The real estate market is very expensive and highly sought after. Great place to live.

    Winnetka

    • Suburb of Chicago, IL
    • 5 reviews
Niche User:Being a suburb with the majority of residents being in the top 1% financially, things are very nice in the area. A downside is that there definitely are people and places that give off a pretentious air. I personally do not fall in that financial bracket (or close to it) but that has effected me very little socially. I feel very lucky to live in this area.

    Berwyn

    • Suburb of Philadelphia, PA
    • 18 reviews
Current Resident:I grew up in Berwyn and went to elementary and middle school in Berwyn. I left the town when I turned 20 years old, moving to a nearby small town with lower rent prices. When I became financially stable again, I moved back, because living anywhere else wasn't comfortable for me. Great town, shuts down early (nothing is open after 10 pm) but safe and quiet.

    Northbrook

    • Suburb of Chicago, IL
    • 35 reviews
Nearby Resident:My experience is mostly at Glenbrook North High School. There is opportunity for success if you go out and look for it yourself. They are not a typical High School and offer many more courses and opportunities than any High School I have ever heard of. Courses such as human anatomy, welding, and automotive. Northbrook is very community oriented and involved with the High School. Every year there is Burger Day at the local McDonald's where everyone gathers from the two local High Schools and have a good time.

North Allegheny is a wonderful school district that has many excellent teachers and offers lots of classes that other schools don't, such as college classes like organic chemistry and anatomy and AP classes. Very good place for working couple to grow up in a quaint neighborhood with their three kids and a dog.

Niche User:This area feels extremely safe and well-kept. There is no vandalism or graffiti and every house is tidy inside and out. There are barely any crimes around here and if there are, there is little to no chance that it involves violence or murder. Oak Brook

    • Suburb of Chicago, IL
    • 9 reviews
Niche User:Oak Brook is the best of all worlds. Hundreds and hundreds of acres of open space, excellent sports facilities, world-class shopping, incredible range of employment opportunities. Close to major trauma hospital and excellent medical care. Superior public safety departments. NO real estate tax assessed for village operations - so we have an exceedingly low property tax bill. What are reported as high 'crime' numbers are from things like people passing bad checks, credit card fraud, etc at our huge shopping area. It does not impact the residents of the village.

    Narberth

    • Suburb of Philadelphia, PA
    • 4 reviews
Niche User:I have never felt unsafe. There are many local police stations, and although I semi-frequently see cars patrolling, I rarely see them stopping unsafe drivers. I have not experienced any crime myself or heard of anyone I know experiencing crime. I would say the most dangerous thing about the area is the careless drivers.
