    Bayview

    • Neighborhood in San Francisco, CA
    • 23 reviews
Current Resident:Growning up in san francisco's bayview district, allowed me to grow up ith the best weather in the city. The people of the bayview are nice caring people who like to always have fun, especially when the bayview opera house throws community events on the third Friday of every month. There are alot of good schools as well as extra curricular activities for youth, adults and the elderly. The bayview is a great place, its currently going through mass improvements and influxes of many different people. It a beautiful thing.

    Western Addition

    • Neighborhood in San Francisco, CA
    • 30 reviews
Niche User:I love this city. It would be nice if there were more affordable universities that had open enrollment before a year. It would also be wonderful if the housing was affordable.

There are many opportunities but there is a great disparity between the classes.

It would be wonderful if the technological influences could combine with that of other groups to find solutions for the homeless crisis. San Francisco paved the way on HIV/AIDS education, treatment, and protection. I see San Francisco as paving the way on homelessness as well.

    Lower Nob Hill

    • Neighborhood in San Francisco, CA
    • 25 reviews
Niche User:What I love the most is that there is an atmosphere of different cultures and races depending on the area you are on. In reality it is a very small city and you can experience all of it almost in a single day. The only bad thing is the expensive rent, but I guess it keeps away people who don't really want to live in SF.

    Bernal Heights

    • Neighborhood in San Francisco, CA
    • 3 reviews
Current Resident:Bernal Heights is a safe, quiet, residential neighborhood. It is close to several boutiques up on Cortland st including a cute pet store. There are several different super markets including a 'Good Life' and a 'Safeway'. There are several well situated muni stops so it's easy to leave your car at home and still get around quickly. However, only the J muni train will take you to and from Bernal heights, or you can catch the 44, 14, 14R, or the 24. People are generally live and let live here. It's fairly dog friendly and there is a small park that many dogs get their morning and evening exercise at.

    Excelsior

    • Neighborhood in San Francisco, CA
    • 7 reviews
Current Resident:My husband and I are both native San Francisco natives. We love the city and have always wanted to raise our children here. However, with the rising cost of living and real estate prices, we know that it would not be easy or the same as when we were growing up. When we moved to the excelsior we were unfamiliar with the outer city limit neighborhood. It is residential, diverse and close to Mission Streets culture. We are within walking distance of a beautiful park and have a huge backyard. Parking is a challenge, but we are all thankful and happy to call the Excelsior and San Francisco our home.

    Mission Terrace

    • Neighborhood in San Francisco, CA
    • 8 reviews
Current Resident:Born and raised in SF (Parkside) I moved here after my divorce because I found a 3 bd/3bth over 2200 sq ft for the same price as the 2 bd/1bth 1100 sq ft house I lived in on Mt Davidson. I've really come to love it here.
Minimal crime (look it up on a crime map) and about once a month I go downstairs and realize I forget to close the gate by my entry - I never lock my door. Feel safe walking my little dog at 11 pm.
Transit is great, after a Giants game I take the J-Church home and walk 1 blk. I park by Glen Park BART to go to ACT at night.
The restaurants have improved over the years - Zaba Thai, Henry's Hunan, Sushi Raw and the ladies at Cumacia Coffee (Martha's) are really nice. For more upscale I walk to Glen Park (just over 1/2 mile). The Whole Foods on Ocean really changed my life here.
Easy access to the Mission - just shoot out San Jose.
