Current Resident:I have lived in the area for around 4 years now. Love how the schools are in close proximity to home; no more than a 5 minute drive. The movies, mall, and places to eat are also extremely close and the neighborhood are very family orientated. I would say the one down side to living out here is the commute, especially if you are going into downtown area. On a good day with good traffic, the drive is around 35-40 minutes. However, if you are leaving during traffic hour, expect to be sitting in your car for at least an hour. More about Willowbrook
Niche User:The area where I currently reside is a luxurious place that is cool, calm, and collected. With there being a mall across the street from my home makes it safe and convenient to walk across and explore the wonderful venture established. Moreover there is many food restaurants like Red Lobster, Olive Garden, and Dunkin Donuts fairly close by to my pleasure. To sum it all up this area would be my residency when I buy my first home in the future. Yet I would not rank this area compared to others in the U.S because I simply have not visited or experience living in those areas. More about Eldridge / West Oaks
Current Resident:Westchase District is a fairly safe area and the neighbors are very friendly and helpful. I like the wide variety of shopping options from groceries, home improvement and clothing. The only thing that should be improved are certain roads that are hard to drive through than others, but those roads are now under construction. Overall great neighborhood More about Westchase
Current Resident:I currently live off of Eldridge & Briar Forest nestled right in the Energy Corridor and it's absolutely amazing. Upscale housing and neighborhoods, plenty of shops and parks around the area. Very family friendly with great schools like The Village and Westside Magnet HS. I haven't seen much crime since i've been here and i feel perfectly comfortable walking outside at nights and in the early mornings. More about Briar Forest
Former Resident:I loved growing up in Alief, Texas. Alief is apart of Houston, Texas that is located on the Southwest side of town. The area is very culturally diverse. I love that there is a sense of community and you are able to get to know your neighbors. The food is amazing! You can find just about any cuisine in this part of Houston. It's a rare gem in the big city. The location is perfect since the beltway and major highways are close by. More about Alief
Niche User:I live in a safe neighborhood, and I haven't really heard about anyone having problems or about crime there. However, I think we may be near some worse neighborhoods, so you have to look out for where you are and make sure you don't end up in any of those dangerous areas. Niche User:I love being from Houston and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else. Traffic is the main problem and crime in my area is also a problem. However, I never get bored of my city and I enjoy the view of our downtown skyline every day. More about Westbranch
Current Resident:Area is close to transportation options such as various freeways, the light rail, and bus options. There are a lot of diverse food options nearby as well. Within 2 miles, there are Chinese, Jamaican, Ethiopian, Mediterranean, Mexican, Barbecue, American, and a slew of many more ethnic foods. The variety of food choices is also a reflection of the variety of the people who live in the area. The Medical Center is a great area and it is helpful that the largest medical center in the world is close by. More about Medical Center Area
Niche User:The atmosphere in this neighborhood is quiet. They make some noise every now and then when it's a party of some sort is going on, but that's about it. It's a college neighborhood because it's located between two universities. But overall it's cool. More about Museum Park
Niche User:My family chose to stop living in a tight space and move to a house. We moved to a house after our apartment was declared not safe to live in after a tornado destroyed the apartment complex. The area where we moved to is very safe and the neighbors are very nice. We all look out for each other and try to keep the area safe. My family made the right decision to move to this area. More about Brays Oaks
Niche User:This area has been a great place to grow up. It's secure, has good schools, and access to a great public park for kids. The Braes Bayou hike/bike trail is also accessible. It has a wide variety of stores and restaurants so you don't have to go far for most of your needs, and there are many good physicians for adults and kids in the area. The Metro bus line also runs through this neighborhood, and there is a park-and-ride is nearby. More about Meyerland Area
Current Resident:Clear Lake City has all of the amenities of a larger city, but is small & inviting, plus we have a large lake. We have the new Baybrook mall expansion that mimics the Houston Galleria. We have U of H Clear Lake Campus. Family friendly neighborhoods with an Excellent/Outstanding rated school district. One downfall is the freeway construction and traffic to get here, but once you're here, you have no reason to leave! More about Clear Lake
Niche User:The area around is not the the greatest, but the people that live in our neighborhood are great.
We treat each other as family and help each other in good and bad times.
We are able to rely on each other in case of an emergency,as well to celebrate.
If I was able to choose to live here again I would be cause is about the people not the neighborhood it self.
People are who make were you live great. More about Braeburn
