Current Resident:Safe neighborhood close to many restaurants, and Admo if you want to have a fun night out. Rent is pricey but hey, it's DC. Love living in this neighborhood because it's more lowkey but still super central and close to downtown and other more lively neighborhoods of DC.

    Cathedral Heights

    • Neighborhood in Washington, D.C.
    • 25 reviews
Niche User:Washington DC offers a more pleasant experience that a rural community. Between the local parks/trails, diversity of museums and international restaurants, residents experience what I would consider as quaint urbanization applicable to a variety of age groups. I would recommend living here for a few years to experience all twelve square miles of quirky city-scape. If I could go back in time and move elsewhere, I would chose not to.

    Glover Park

Current Resident:Glover Park is not very diverse and the the cost of living in one of the houses in the neighborhood is very high. However, the schools here are pretty good in getting the students the knowledge they need and the neighborhood is full of families. The neighborhood is very safe.

    Woodley Park

    • Neighborhood in Washington, D.C.
    • 1 review
Current Resident:Woodley Park is a lovely neighborhood during all times of the year with the small exception of one or two spring weeks when it is flooded with out of town tourists on their spring breaks flocking to the National Zoo. All other times of year Woodley Park is a lovely district north west residential neighborhood, with some very good restaurants such as Open City and Bar Cevita on busy Connecticut Avenue which breaks up the pretty, sleepy townhouse streets with traffic and restaurants. Woodley Park has its own metro station which is also very nice, and lots of trees. The neighborhood public schools are all very good; Oyster-Adams Bilingual is and exceptional elementary and middle school, and Woodrow Wilson High School is very good as well.

    Georgetown

    • Neighborhood in Washington, D.C.
    • 13 reviews
Current Resident:This neighborhood is quaint and charming but comes with a large price tag. The cost of living is high, and the "locals" are merely expats who have several homes. There is a strong international vibe and many friendly dog owners who roam the streets. This area is great for visiting with your loved one or exploring as a solo traveler, but the college campus nearby also tends to make a ruckus on occasion.
