    Fort Bend

    • County in Texas
    • 7 reviews
Current Resident:I first moved to Fort Bend in 2000 at age 13. While I wasn't comfortable at first, and I've grown to love it, and Ft. Bend county has truly become my home. The weather is still the worst-- it was 81 on Christmas Day-- but after learning how to figure out the commute times and traffic patterns, it isn't an impossibility to get around anymore. I have also come to appreciate the beauty that Sugar Land, Richmond, Rosenberg, and the neighborhoods therein have to offer anyone looking to move here. We have some of the best schools with Fort Bend ISD and Lamar ISD, we have some great community parks (like Oyster Creek Park), we have great restaurants, community centers like Town Square or Brazos Town Square, and overall our cost of living is low compared to available income.

We have just built a brand new performing arts center, the Smart Financial Center, right in Sugar Land. It will be bringing in some of the biggest names in the entertainment industry in the upcoming years.

    Gwinnett

    • County in Georgia
    • 16 reviews
Current Resident:Gwinnett is great. This cosmopolitan county is the best place to live in all of Georgia. For starters, the school system is prestigious. As a two-time winner of the Broad Prize, Gwinnett County schools are known for their exceptional student performance and achievement. Not to mention, the Gwinnett School of Mathematics, Science, and Technology resides here and is home to some of the brightest minds in the country.

Gwinnett is very diverse in many ways. Besides the fact that one-fourth of the population is foreign-born, living in this county allows you to experience a variety of living styles constantly. Your house could be located in the suburbs, like Grayson. But you drive 15 minutes and you're in a bustling city like Snellville. Fifteen minutes the other way and you haven't seen a restaurant in miles - only horse pastures.

Gwinnett is a great place to live, and I know first-hand. I grew up here and am very thankful to have been raised in such a developed county.

After all, school isn’t always easy and being able to motivate yourself to learn more can be imperative.

    Sacramento

    • County in California
    • 272 reviews
Current Resident:Living here almost for 43 years I have seen West Sacramento grow dramatically from an old small farm town to a busy and upbeat city. It has gone from a quiet, peaceful, everyone knows everyone; to a city full of wealthy and still yet the poor and drug addicts line the streets. This town is so welcoming of everyone , it is a wonderful place to live as the Sacramento River and mountains and oceans just a couple hours in reach. With the San Francisco Bay just a mere forty five minute drive who wouldn't want to live here. The only thing that's getting worse is the smog. The recent build of The Golden One Center is a huge money making attraction. I myself have taken my grand daughter to see Disney on Ice, what a wonderful experience. I would recommend anyone wanting to visit here attend and event at this Arena. The possibilities are endless with activities galore to do and functions to attend!

    Dallas

    • County in Texas
    • 138 reviews
Current Resident:Dallas, Texas is by far one of the best cities I have ever been in. I was born and raised in Dallas but I have traveled a lot. By the time I'm one week away from home, I'm ready to come back. I think my favorite part of this city is its diversity. There are so many different cultures to learn about and many different people to meet! I would definitely recommend people to live here in this awesome city! If there's one thing I could change, it would be the commute, traffic is pretty bad but if you give yourself enough time to get to your destination, you shouldn't have too much trouble!

    Cook

    • County in Illinois
    • 4 reviews
Current Resident:I come from Poland and have been living in the USA for the past two years. The reason why I chose the Cook County to settle in was my family. All my Polish relatives currently living in the USA reside in Cook County. What I like the most about it, is the countless number of opportunities this areas has to offer. I am a college student and education is my top priority right now. Cook County has a lot of good schools and programs. Another thing that I like about Cook County is its diversity and multiculturalism. Being the second-most populous county in the United States, it hosts people from different parts of the World. I know that USA is filled with beautiful places, but I am happy to be living in Cook County and think it is a great place to live.

    Contra Costa

    • County in California
    • 6 reviews
Former Resident:I love Contra Costa County. This is where I was born and have since moved, but I feel happy with the foundation I received here. It is a family-friendly environment with many enrichment programs, free parks and sports areas, hiking, trails, and various accessible pool. Unfortunately, the public school system sees success in only a elect few of the various elementary, middle, and high schools available. There is not much diversity in Contra Costa, the majority of the population being either white or hispanic families whose breadwinners commute to and from work, or retired individuals. People are relatively active in the city politics in this area, and students do rather well when compared to other counties in California. The property is expensive but incredibly located, with the closest major city being less than an hour away and accessible by public transportation. Overall, a great place to live.

    Union

    • County in New Jersey
    • 17 reviews
Current Resident:I am born and raised in Union, NJ. I love this town and my friends from here too! Where I live is perfect because I live right near so many places. I am just minutes away from two parks, an emergency room, a gas station, two strips of stores, and Union surrounds about five other towns that also have great places to go. I believe my town is also very safe and friendly. The diversity is also very strong.

    Santa Clara

    • County in California
    • 31 reviews
Current Resident:The city of Santa Clara has been my home for the past ten years. It has always been a place that I feel very safe to live in. There is multiple public schools that are high rated and have a lot of diversity. There is many types of culture in this area, offering different types of job opportunities to people. However, the cost of housing in this area is nearly unbearable to anyone who does not live off of a six figure salary. Because Santa Clara is part of the Silicon Valley, commute times have grown every year, with large numbers of people moving to this area to live. Even with the large amounts of people, the town is family friendly and has been an amazing place to grow up in. I have had access to multiple activities, both indoor and outdoor. I have also been exposed to a variety of cultures, shaping me into the person I am today. I highly recommend people to live here if they can afford it.

    Broward

    • County in Florida
    • 13 reviews
Current Resident:Not bad as far as schools go, overall I would like to see more public transportation. The police officers can come across tough, but generally care about your well being. Nightlife isn't bad, we have downtown Fort Lauderdale and plenty of sorts bars and things to do. I would definitely say this is a family friendly place, especially for diverse families.

Niche User:This area is very calm and quiet. Everything you need is nearby. There's plenty of restaurants, nail salons, grocery stores, fast food places that are 5 minutes away. My home is also 10 minutes from the interstate that takes you anywhere in the Houston Area and is usually the route to take to leave town. There is a lot of diversity and plenty of nature as well. A little bit of everything for everyone. Schools are all nearby, from elementary to high school. A perfect place to live!

    Orange

    • County in Florida
    • 218 reviews
Current Resident:Orange County is an interesting place to live. There are so many subdivisions that one could drive a couple miles down a busy thoroughfare and suddenly feel as if you have been transported away to a rural town. I like this type of living because I prefer to have a little more space, away from the busy buzz of the road. However, I also like to have my modern conveniences, as one would living in a big city. In a way it's the best of both worlds.
Beside these things, there are beautiful trees all over the county, plenty of lakes and natural areas to enjoy, and for those who like entertainment, this is the place for it! Hello, Walt Disney World, shopping galore, food from around the world, and so much more!

    Montgomery

    • County in Maryland
    • 71 reviews
Current Resident:I live in Montgomery County, MD. I like the area but I feel like it is a very expensive place to live on your own and are making at least 50,000 or more a year and you want to buy your own house. The cost of living in this county is expensive but if you work hard you should live comfortably. This county has excellent public and private schools, very well safety, family friendly, the diversity is widespread. There are definitely a lot of job opportunities. There is a lot of activities you can do here for kids and adults.

    Middlesex

    • County in New Jersey
    • 1 review
Current Resident:Middlesex is all in all your basic middle/lower middle class neighborhood. The school system is average, maybe even a little below. I graduated high school in 2011 and it was average; now with the heroin & coke epidemic our town is facing the school system is slightly below average. All in all the neighborhood is generally a safe area and the people are friendly. The taxes are far too high though.

    Los Angeles

    • County in California
    • 328 reviews
Current Resident:First and foremost: Los Angeles needs more parks. Small parks, corner parks, neighborhood parks, one grand central park--we need parks on every corner. I would like to see more underground parking garages and less cars parked on the streets. Imagine if all the driving roads for cars were underground, and above ground Los Angeles had succulent lined sidewalks with buffalo grass sprawling across the streets for people to walk on and electric buses lining the streets. It would result in less driving and better air quality.

I love living in Los Angeles. It is a culturally vibrant mecca with amazing restaurants, theatre, movies, book signings, reading, lectures, comedy, concerts, underground shows, and so much more! If you are culturally awakened and want to experience new adventures every night, Los Angeles is the city to live in. I am never bored and living in central LA allows for the beach, the mountains, downtown, NoHo, the valley, Pasadena, the Rose Bowl are all 10-30 minutes away.

    Prince William

    • County in Virginia
    • 177 reviews
Current Resident:I have lived my whole life in Prince William County and I have overall enjoyed my time here. The area has a diverse community, there is little crime, and it is a thriving community from an economic standpoint. If I had to change one thing, it would be how the public schools are overseen, specifically where the finances are going, as many classrooms do not have access to adequate textbooks and equipment, but sport teams seem to get new jerseys and gear each season.

Current Resident:I have grown up in this community and have always desired to bring what I learn as I study in college and make it useful here. I believe that as a educator every student deserves a teacher that genuinely cares and loves them. I only want the best for any student I encounter and I hope that I am able to change my entire community with my music.

Visitor:I like everything about it! People are so nice here. The street is clean, the food is good, the mountain is green, the sky is blue. It's closed to LA, and it's closed to Irvine where I go to school. I like the car place at downtown. And I like the fliex cafe at downtown orange. The neighborhood is quite and nice. Also, I like the orange hills restaurant. My boyfriend and I love this place so much. It is just perfect to us!
