Current Resident:Very laid back community, but still very athletic. There is always something to do without too much pressure added to it. Farmers markets, tea houses, hiking, biking, rock climbing, skiing, snowboarding, and much more! With CU Boulder as a central point of the town there is always a chance to further you education and get involved with the party scene up on the Hill.

Current Resident:I love living in Marin purely for it's beauty. The Marin Headlands is are alluring. Mount Tamalpais is breath-taking and Bolinas and Stinson will make you want to live at the beach all year. I am aware of how privileged I am to live in such a wealthy, stunning community. However Marin is, in a way, it's very own world. It's separated from the diversity of San Francisco by the Golden Gate Bridge and a lot of people I've met in Marin are unaware of what's going on outside of our "bubble". It is still, regardless, a beautiful place.

    Santa Fe

    • County in New Mexico

Current Resident:Santa Fe is famous for its landscapes and the ever present sunshine. The capital of New Mexico has a lot of charm and great food! Crime is low, jobs are few and the cost of living is high. Rental properties are incredibly expensive as are homes to buy.
You stay in Santa Fe for the weather, the views, the incredible cultural diversity and great food. Some of the best chefs live here.

Current Resident:Eagle County is a very diverse culture with many attributes and cultures not provided in many places. Our education systems are very nice and my children love going to school. Learning how to live healthier out here is very influential in how my children are being raised compared to that of Kansas. Unfortunately, the downfall is the housing market and how expensive it is to live here. Many parents have to work two to three jobs just to survive. We have a very beautiful community with many smiling friendly faces. With the opportunities given here in Eagle County there can only be growth as a community and new ways to adapt and to learn to better our future as a strong and amazing place.

Current Resident:Alameda is a great little suburb of the Bay Area. The surrounding county is multi racial, multi ethnic with lots of attractions for families throughout the year. Alameda county has opportunities for people just beginning to work up through veterans. There are many routes to travel to get from city to city without driving! People are friendly and it is a animal friendly town as well. Come visit!

    Santa Clara

Current Resident:The city of Santa Clara has been my home for the past ten years. It has always been a place that I feel very safe to live in. There is multiple public schools that are high rated and have a lot of diversity. There is many types of culture in this area, offering different types of job opportunities to people. However, the cost of housing in this area is nearly unbearable to anyone who does not live off of a six figure salary. Because Santa Clara is part of the Silicon Valley, commute times have grown every year, with large numbers of people moving to this area to live. Even with the large amounts of people, the town is family friendly and has been an amazing place to grow up in. I have had access to multiple activities, both indoor and outdoor. I have also been exposed to a variety of cultures, shaping me into the person I am today. I highly recommend people to live here if they can afford it.

Current Resident:I live in Montgomery County, MD. I like the area but I feel like it is a very expensive place to live on your own and are making at least 50,000 or more a year and you want to buy your own house. The cost of living in this county is expensive but if you work hard you should live comfortably. This county has excellent public and private schools, very well safety, family friendly, the diversity is widespread. There are definitely a lot of job opportunities. There is a lot of activities you can do here for kids and adults.

    Santa Cruz

    • County in California
    • 29 reviews
Former Resident:Santa Cruz is great place because of the beaches all nearby. I grew up Watsonville which is part of Santa Cruz County, the things enjoyed most was my family and friends were all near by. A majority of the time I always loved being outside because of the perfect weather always around 60-70 degrees outside not too cold or not too hot. There is not to much crime although many gangs were present. The negative things about this town was the traffic everyday in the morning or in the afternoon the freeways packed with people, our freeway did only have 2 lanes which made it more congestive. I disliked the cops they were constantly just watching each driver and making driving uncomfortable. I also did not like how such a small town is was everything was to crowded and packed, we didn't even have a Wal-Mart. Overall I still like my town but I prefer a big city like Sacramento where I am currently living

Former Resident:Fairfax, VA is clean, safe, diverse, plenty of non-parallel parking, clean public parks and services, abundance of public bus transportations. One recommendation: less honking on the road and be more calm and connect with neighbors more through public events and fundraisers would be both rewarding and wonderful!

Visitor:I like everything about it! People are so nice here. The street is clean, the food is good, the mountain is green, the sky is blue. It's closed to LA, and it's closed to Irvine where I go to school. I like the car place at downtown. And I like the fliex cafe at downtown orange. The neighborhood is quite and nice. Also, I like the orange hills restaurant. My boyfriend and I love this place so much. It is just perfect to us!

Current Resident:I really like Davis County and its involvement in the community.

I've lived in Bountiful and Clinton my whole life. I've managed to live on both ends of the county and it's overall the same experience. Clinton keeps on adding businesses in the city and it's really attracting more people. I've lived in Clinton for 17 years and it has totally changed over that period of time. There was a bank and an Albertson's grocery store in regards to businesses, but now it has been exploding!

I feel that the communities are safe in Davis County. Compared to other parts of the United States, Davis County seems to be very low in crime rate. It's definitely a place to raise a family in a safe environment.

The Public Schools are great. I attended West Clinton Elementary, West Point Jr. High, and Clearfield High. I received a great education throughout my school days as a youth. The teachers really work one-on-one with their students and that's what's important to me.

Davis County is home to me.

    Los Alamos

    • County in New Mexico
    • 2 reviews
Nearby Resident:I attend school at Los Alamos and I find it very refreshing up there in the mountain. There are a number of things to do in the area. I utilize the library, for movies and books; Smith's grocery store, has a Starbucks and sushi ; Supercuts for my kids haircuts; and Ashley Pond.

If there would be an improvement in the area I would like to see a Taco Bell. When I am at school there isn't a local place to eat when you just want something affordable. A local catering company has recently been housed on campus but the price for coffee, pastries or meal is too high for most students on a budget. When I have class all day and one right after another I need something in walking distance, quick, and affordable.

I enjoy the city. I live in San Ildefonso Pueblo down the hill from the town and it's nice to experience what the city has to offer. It is a twenty minute drive from home and with two kids it's great that it's close and I can get a lot done.

Niche User:Santa Rosa is an ideal mid-sized city. Close enough to the bay area to commute or make a day trip, with enough businesses and attractions locally to keep you occupied. I would definitely move here again, only complaint is that with more and more people moving into the area, traffic and public congestion is becoming more of an annoyance than it used to be.
