Ranger is a small town with a comfortable feel. It does need some work. Serious investors should be interested in this diamond in the rough and see the potential in revitalization.
Ranger has been a challenge for me, is a small town in the middle of west Texas. I never has been here before being that I'm from Caracas, Venezuela and i came here with a soccer scholarship. The place is nice, is a good place to focus, make friends and have a start as a college student. People here is so nice and they help you a lot, is the type of people as they are back home. Classes here are good and if you work a little bit hard you can have a good gpa that will help you after your graduation. I recommend people that want a start and want to feel in a good environment being that here is like a family.
People are friendly, but no one put money in the "city" so it kinda looks bad. So I believe that people here are great, the College is amazing, but the town needs more support from government and from the places around, because as a young guy, 23 years old, studying in Ranger, my friends and I have nothing to do on for example Friday nights. Usually we have to drive far from here to find something to do. Because of things like that we can't enjoy the town that we live.
