Rangely is a cute town. It is very small but filled with friendly people. Almost everyone knows everyone, you can recognize this by just going into the family dollar store; people know each other on first name basis. There aren't a lot of options for restaurants but the few restaurants that they have in town are very good! It is not very good for job opportunities since its a very small town, everything is taken! A lot of people drive to other towns further away to work there. The fact that Rangely is family oriented and friendly is what makes people stick around.

Rangely is an extremely small Midwestern town. It is a place for oil field families to settle down and people to retire, but there is very little for young people here in the form of entertainment or opportunities. It is a very old fashioned type of town, where many of the people are of the older generations and have very strict morals and values. While this isn't necessarily bad, it would be nice to have some open mindedness. Most of the money is in the hands of the big families and the town is run on a "who you know" basis. But there is very little violent crime, and if you are a good person and give everyone time to accept you, you will meet some of the best people you will ever know.
As a college student, my schedule must be flexible. The few businesses that are willing to work with me have nothing to do with my biology major, and mostly consist of being a cashier or a lifeguard. The town I live in is heavily influenced by the oil/mining industries, however, and if I wanted a job doing that kind of work I could probably secure one and get paid a hefty amount. However, they wouldn't be flexible and I would also fail the physical requirements that they seek.

Luckily, I secured a job with the local college newspaper as an editor and business manager, and I enjoy my job. Many other people in town feel differently about their jobs, however.
