I grew up in Rancho Santa Margarita and over the past 20 years it has become something really special. Not only is there a beautiful lake that hundreds of healthy, active people run around daily, but there are also shops, super markets, clothing stores, boutiques, restaurants for any occasion and much more. From what started out as a small, humble town, over the years it has boomed with a huge population of families, great school districts, and beautiful communities all with unique elements that add to the beauty of RSM. The police are active, patrolling each neighborhood making sure everyone is safe, with clean streets and a beautiful, green scenery with trees and bushes everywhere in sight. Tucked against the valley, this city has become to the go to suburban town where it shines an active life in the daylight and becomes so quiet at night you could sleep outside!

I was raised in Rancho Santa Margarita and I absolutely love it here. Rancho is a very family-oriented and safe community surrounded by friendly people. I have never felt unsafe or uncomfortable. There is a large regional park right next door filled with hiking and mountain biking trails, the beach is not too far away, and the city is not far either. Many centers here have excellent restaurants and live music on the weekends. This city is a wonderful place to raise a family and connect with local resources. I would say the only thing that is not perfect here is the cost of living. Housing is quite expensive, but owners are not disappointed with their purchase. The streets are well protected and kept clean, healthcare centers are in close proximity, and there is much variety in shopping.
I love living here! It is so beautiful and clean. The only downside is there are not very many good restaurants to choose from. There are great trails for hiking and mountain bike riding.
