Rancho San Diego, and outlier of El Cajon CA is a great community to live in. It's a relatively safe and quaint neighborhood with small businesses, movie theater, multiple grocery stores, restaurants and schools. This part of El Cajon is like a small community unto itself. The parks and YMCA help make this neighborhood a great place for families with children.
Rancho San Diego is a family friendly neighbor. I currently live here and absolutely love it. They have a quiet living environment and is great for all sorts of families. There are various park for the entire family to enjoy.
I like Rancho San Diego, as it is diverse and well taken care of community. The schools in the area are very good, and the community colleges are very good as well for students not pursuing a 4-year path. I would say that I wished there was more connection in the community with like a farmers market or something, because we really don't have that here. With more community activities Rancho would become even more amazing than it already is.
Very open and full of life. Lots of trees and greenery. Love it. Super sunny during summer and warm.
I worked in Rancho San Diego at Hillsdale Middle School and got to know many families. There is a strong sense of community here, and people truly care about their child's education. The housing is not cheap, but the houses are nice, and there is good pride of ownership.
I live literally 2 minutes away from RSD. It's a great place for families. It's growing with so many different businesses and restaurants and dessert spots and fast food (some healthy). I really like it .
I love that Rancho San Diego is not overcrowded. It's easy to get to and from establishments and there's usually no problem parking anywhere in this area. It's clean, I feel safe, and the schools are excellent.
I like how clean it is and the array of amenities it offers. I can drive drown the street to get groceries, my prescriptions, and even go see a movie. It is family friendly as well with the multiple parks and schools that it offers.
Lived in Rancho San Diego, moved away and now back on the border of Rancho San Diego and La Mesa. Has everything that you need and the schools and children's sports are great.
There is not many community events and I do not know my neighbors and everyone is pretty much to themselves
We have a huge police department in the center of El Cajon and I continuously see police cars patroling the city which gives me a sense of safety and seccurity.
I like my privacy and this area gives me my privacy. I feel like the city of El Cajon should be more interactive with their community and do more community events.
This area is clean and has lots of stores and restaurants. It is close to the freeway and rent is reasonable. I'm not sure about the quality of schools for children (not colleges) because my son did not go to school in this area. Our rent is reasonable but I'm not aware of how much others pay in this area.
Most people tend to drive to La Mesa for dinner or go downtown for clubbing or the nightlife scene
I personally have not been employed yet, but I know several people who have jobs in the community and enjoy their work or feel they Re being paid enough. I have a friend who actually started up a business at our local mall and is doing really well!
I love the mom and pops we have around the neighborhood, and my absolute favorite places to eat are usually unique and health oriented shops in La Mesa.
