This is an up and coming neighborhood for sure! Lots of new construction. Has the necessities in regards to the businesses - a couple of great restaurants and spas. But, is 15 minutes away from the nearest target. Is centrally located between Elk River and Anoka so you're close to more stores + shoppes.
Ramsey is mostly filled with family life. There are dozens of parks, close neighborhoods (with large enough houses for big families as well as smaller houses for one or two kids), a market area nearby with a grocery store, subway, caribou, Acapulco, and a gym. You're within 5-10minutes of highway 10 which can help lead you right into the cities, and there are dozens of shopping areas on the way there. The only thing I dislike about Ramsey are some of the teenagers, they run with the wrong crowd and many people are having issues with vandalism, breaking into cars, and drugs (buying and selling). Usually they aren't violent, but they do cause issues.
I have lived in Ramsey my whole life and I have had nothing but good experiences. The neighborhood I grew up in flourished with kids my age and was your typical childhood experience, as in so many other Ramsey neighborhoods. The town is filled with parks and family friendly features. Now that I am a teen, there's not as much for me and my friends to do in Ramsey(especially in the winter), but luckily everything you could ever want to do is relatively close by. The community is super friendly and I have never felt unsafe living here. The schools are also quite amazing, there are two elementary schools that are so wonderful for kids, education is very valued here.
