Rainelle Reviews
Rating 3 out of 5 3 reviews
This town is sad and scary, but it is full of life. With the closing of the coal mines, many people have found themselves without jobs, which sucks and I both empathize and sympathize with them; however, it is surprisingly hard to find someone who lives in Rainelle who does not have some sort of federal aid. There are a lack of hard workers in this town. Industry has died in this area. We have to drive 45 minutes in any direction to get to a Walmart or movie theater, and over an hour to get to a shopping mall. High school students and working people in general have to commute anywhere from five minutes to an hour and a half in order to find a job somewhere other than at McDonald's. Setting all of this aside, Rainelle, West Virginia, has true heart. Everybody knows everybody, and whenever one person is down, people flock to comfort them and help them get back up. There are very few people I have met in Rainelle who I do not consider a close friend.
Rainelle WV use to be a very nice small town that was family friendly and had several fun places to visit. Unfortunately with the decline in West Virginia, it has withered away to a ghost town.
It is a nice little close knit town, nothing fancy. But since I need 100 characters. The town recently been devastated by massive flood and a lot of people have moved that is all
