Commuting is great due to the proximity of highways and trains, but local activities are not that great. Nearby towns have far better downtowns, stores, restaurants and parking. The Arts center is supposed to be up and coming, but so far has not had much of real quality and is not that accessible to the local residents. City Hall leaves many residents with a bad taste in their mouth, and parents in particular complain about the hard to access library with unfriendly staff. The Rahway Highschool actually provides the best entertainment with excellent arts programs that are superior to just about anything available downtown or in other local highschools.

Rahway is a nice place to live. I personally live near the Linden as well, and it's pretty quiet. Not much happens, but the City of Rahway always is running events that are good for children and families. Especially, during the summer time and during all holidays, there's always something to do in the city of Rahway. The public schooling system for Rahway is less favorable however.
The town is very laid back. They are currently building a lot of apartment buildings being built around town. School system could use a lot of work. Safety is pretty good nothing bad really happens around here. A lot of places to eat around town. Commute to New York is not that bad, we have our own train station and we have some cabs around if needed. Not that many jobs available around here. Though the neighborhood is really good.
