I love my small town of Raeford. It has such a family feel. Everyone knows everyone! We have one high school and the best thing built since I have been here was a Wal-Mart, but I still love it here. Life in Raeford is so simple compared to the big cities. We do not have to deal with traffic. I am grateful for all the people I have met in my small town of Raeford.
My experience living in Raeford, NC all my life has overall been average. Through the years I've seen a couple of changes that were good, for example the addition of the new Walmart, Taco Bell, and some other places were great additions, and this made the travel a lot more easier. However one change I think they should make is the addition of a new high school for the over population of students.
My wife was born and reared in Raeford. I am a retired military officer from western Pennsylvania. We have lived here continuosly for the past 43 years since I retired from the Army. Both of our children were reared here and attended public schools here. I have taught in both the high school and two elementary schools and have worked in county government. Raeford is one of the best places I have ever lived and I strongly recommend this community for anyone with children and anyone who is interested in living in a safe community.
